The aristocrats move in the steps their grandparents' grandparents used: powdered, precise, and slightly asleep. Then Nova spins through trailing pink ribbon, a punk anarchy patch flashing, dancing a pattern the floor has never been taught. Cosmo waves from the side, half delighted, half bracing for the room to be scandalised. It isn't — yet. Because a new step doesn't break a dance.
