Cosmo kneels under the light as golden thread coils around him. Above, marionettes dangle, worked by strings from the dark. His stomach drops — he is being puppeted, surely, like the rest. He looks down at the coil in his own hands. The thread isn't tied to his wrists. It rests in his palm. He could pull, or set it down, or weave it into something. The terror was real, but mistaken: he is not the marionette. He is the one who gets to decide what the thread is for. 💡 THE INSIGHT: Freedom is dizzying precisely because the thread is in your hand and no one else's. That is the fear, and the gift. 📐 THE EQUATION: Thread tied TO you = a puppet. Thread held BY you = a choice. 🚀 Cosmo (looking from the marionettes to his own hands): "I thought the strings were on me. They're... in me. I'm holding them. Oh no.
