VENETIAN MASK HALL — MIRRORS, A THOUSAND HANGING FACES. Cosmo lifts a golden carnival mask to his own face. Stella, regal in a crimson gown, raises a matching one. They could disappear into the crowd of masks behind them — except for the mirrors. The mirrors do the unforgivable, loving thing: they show not the mask, but the hand holding it. Nova hovers between the two, unmasked entirely. The hall is built for hiding. But you cannot hide from a friend who can see your wrist — and that, the mask universe whispers, is exactly what a friend is for. 💡 THE INSIGHT: A mask hides you from strangers.
