Cosmo stands gesturing toward it; Nova floats near the rose window; and on a stone bench, almost overlooked, an open book waits. The chapel offers two versions of the same wisdom. One is carved into the stone overhead — permanent, lofty, hard to reach. The other lies open on the bench at hand-height — soft, turnable, free for anyone to pick up. The maxim impresses.
