CARNIVAL HALL — GILDED MASKS, CANDLELIGHT, ONE CRACKED MIRROR. The four of the crew stand among ornate masks, Cosmo and Stella wearing feathered ones; a cracked mirror hangs on the wall. Cosmo glances at the broken mirror and looks away — afraid a fractured glass will show a fractured self. The twist: he looks back, and the cracked mirror shows him clearly. It does not lie, it does not flatter. It simply reflects him in honest pieces. Surrounded by masks built to hide, the one broken, imperfect mirror is the only thing in the room telling the truth. 💡 THE INSIGHT: A flawless mirror can flatter; a cracked one only reflects.
