The friends stay. "The world is a passing show; the wise watch it pass." — Bashō (d. 1694) 🔮 THE PLOT TWIST: EXT. VENETIAN CARNIVAL WATERFRONT — GONDOLAS, JEWELLED MASKS DRIFTING OVERHEAD. Cosmo, Stella and Luna stand on the canal-side platform with Nova; above them dozens of ornate carnival masks float like a flock of glamorous, faceless birds. Carnival is the great festival of pretending — everyone gets to be someone else for a night. But notice what is on the ground and what is in the air: the masks float, untethered, lovely and empty. The four friends stay, feet on the stone, faces their own. Bashō's floating world is exactly this: the dazzle passes overhead, and wisdom is simply choosing to watch it pass rather than chase it. 💡 THE INSIGHT: Let the dazzle float by.
