Cosmo rakes careful lines into the sand; Stella stacks small stones; Nova stands between them. The platform drifts among lanterns and whole galaxies, which should make raking sand feel absurdly small. The proverb on the panel disagrees, twice: before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water — after enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. The chores never changed. The twist is that the carrier did. Cosmo is not raking sand while waiting for something cosmic to happen. The raking, done with full attention, is the cosmic thing. The galaxies underneath are not a distraction from the work.
